Families seperated then Reunited.
In this article it is brought up what to do with children who have crossed the border and where they live in the US. Many people at the head of their state say that many locations in their state wouldn't welcome to the immigrants. This raises many questions of where these migrants should live if they are granted to live in this area or be treated differently. Many things to consider is whether or not a school has the space to teach new immigrants or if there are enough places for immigrants to live within an area. While this problem was not faced in The Distance Between Us it still has an effect due to the fact that within the book it is mentioned Reyna's school was in fact a large school to handle a capacity of new immigrants. This has put a new perception on immigration on me as a person who did not look to deep into the subject which, I did not posses before. I believe that there is a problem with this and it should be dealt with as soon as possible. I did not know of this before but I now understand what is going on as families are finally reunited on our side of the border but are always facing new troubles coming into our country.

I agree with your point in this post, and I like how you tied it in with The Distance Between Us.
